About

For the past 12 years I have been shooting several mediums of Photography. Many photographers have a specific industry in which they focus. I personally loved shooting anything I could get behind my lens. I have become very proficient in shooting real estate, products, head shots, portraits, food, events, concerts, bat/bar mitzvahs, weddings and more.

I discovered my true passion for shooting as a student at Wingate University. I originally started out with a MIS major (Masters of Information Systems). It was a business degree mixed with computer technology. I failed my first programming class and at that point realized this was not where I was dentin to be.  I changed my major to Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in photography and design.

Because photography became so natural to me, I started to tutor other photography students. From the custom settings of ISO, shutter speed, aperture, white balance, to composition and dynamic as well as dark room development. I absorbed the knowledge naturally. We all leaning to shoot full manual on Nikon film cameras so you can imagine the fun of not knowing what you shot until you hit the dark room. This was a time when you HAD to know what the settings on your camera meant in order to get the shot right. Although today I shoot full digital, I think having shot film has given me an edge on those who have never used a film camera or a digital for that matter.

I had the opportunity to travel abroad in London for an internship with a e-commerce real estate company shooting stock images for their advertising archives.

I graduated in 2002 and shortly after got a job working full time for The Atlanta Journal Constitution as a graphic designer. Occasionally I would shoot product photography for local AJC advertisers and when not at the AJC I was shooting nights and weekends for Perdue Vision LLC.

I was a top revenue generating designer for the AJC and I owe my current post editing techniques and expertise to this experience. I do not edit photos using canned solutions like Aperture and or Lightroom. I am a master in adobe photoshop, in design and illustrator.

After leaving the AJC in 2008 I picked Cox Media Group (the AJC) up as a contract client shooting product photography on a weekly basis for the grocery section in the newspaper. There were so many products sales that did not have corresponding photo artwork. That was a very interesting and rewarding experience.

I have the kind of personality that reflects having never met a stranger. Everyone who meets me loves how positive my attitude is. When shooting events, I find that there is never an issue getting people to warm up to the camera. I love getting to share in so many different special moments that being a photographer allows. I want to be able to freeze that one moment in time perfectly so it can be shared with the world.

Depending on what your needs are, I can assure you will not find a more qualified photographer for the money. I am definitely not the cheapest, or the most expensive photographer on the block. I am the one that will work harder for you in communication, quality, and turn around time. I hope you enjoy my portfolio. If you do not see something you like and have a specific style, email me samples and I can send you samples that reflect that style. Most any look can be achieved with post editing techniques.

I currently reside in Buford Ga, local to Suwanee, Dacula, Sugar Hill, Atlanta, Alpharetta, Roswell, Lawrenceville and am open to travel for destination events. I have photographed over 1000 beach front condos in Panama City Beach and Destin Florida. Both are about a 5.5 hour drive away. Shooting photography at the beach is one of my favorite locations to shoot.
